Under what category would you put the Jihad Jane case and why?
The question I guess being "did she choose to forward an agenda of hate and violence or did it choose her". Interesting. I'd say the "benefits" of choosing to be a Jihadist are nil in the rational sense, so you must say that she was partially or completely manipulated by her environment into making that choice. Often our neuroses and biases play a factor but can we really offer them as a step in the process of a cognizant choice? No. I don't think so. While it may not have been her choice to be an insane lunatic, it certainly doesn't preclude her from being detained to prevent her from hurting others.
